Introduction
It was fantastic to see the C&C Employee Benefits (CCEB) team out in force at the Bionow BioInfect AMR Conference at Alderley Park last week, connecting with some of the most innovative organisations in the UK life science sector.

Background
A trusted insurance broker to Bionow
Since 2011, C&C Employee Benefits has been a trusted insurance broker to Bionow and many of its members. As the leading not-for-profit membership organisation supporting the biomedical, pharmaceutical and life science sectors across the north of England, Bionow continues to play a vital role in nurturing growth, collaboration and innovation, and it was great to be part of that conversation once again.
Following the repositioning of our private healthcare business to better reflect our broader protection and wellbeing offering, C&C Employee Benefits is perfectly placed to support life science businesses at every stage of their journey. From early-stage R&D and clinical trials through to large-scale production, growing organisations face increasing pressure to attract and retain top talent in a fiercely competitive market. Putting the right employee benefits in place, including key person and group protection, private medical insurance and tailored wellbeing support, can make a real and measurable difference.

“It was a really rewarding day, meeting such an impressive group of people from a thriving and forward-thinking sector. The UK is a world leader in life sciences, and the energy and enthusiasm we saw throughout the day goes a long way to explaining why. There is a clear recognition of the importance of supporting key employees and teams from a protection, medical insurance and wellbeing perspective, and it was great to have so many positive, engaging conversations with inspiring organisations.”
Exciting times for CCEB
Since rebranding as C&C Employee Benefits, the team has wasted no time in putting the new name firmly on the map. Alongside the Bionow conference, new perimeter signage is being installed at Headingley – the home of Yorkshire County Cricket Club, and CCEB is also sponsoring the inaugural Stockport County Community Trust Padel Tournament.
“These are genuinely exciting times for CCEB,” Andrew added. “We’re exploring a wide range of opportunities to raise our profile and connect with our target audience. Headingley is a world-class venue and padel is booming with exactly the demographic we want to engage. And yes, we’ll be entering teams ourselves. I’ll definitely be playing!”
More to come…
There’s plenty more to come on both of these stories over the coming weeks. But for now, it’s hugely rewarding , and entirely fitting to see our employee benefits team so closely aligned with a sector driven by innovation, growth and improving patient welfare.
